Amazon's product descriptions are clear on this: the paperback is grayscale and the hardback is full color.I got both the paperback (from my online college's bookstore) and the hardback. As others mention in reviews, the paperback one is missing all the summaries and review questions, plus many of the graphics are useless in monochrome.
The hardbound is exactly the same quality as textbooks at less than half the average cost, and includes everything exactly the same as the OpenStax online (also PDF) versions. Excellent value.

Good product except for damaged edge.
Solid hardcover and colored print (impressive).
Overall I am pleased but they should do better with packaging to prevent damages while during shipping.

Download this as a .pdf, and all of the text tools will be available, like highlighters and thumbnails.
Used it as an Introduction to Psych, and it gives you an overview of most of the field.
Think of it as an appetizer menu. If you find something you love, pursue that!
